Girls Track and Field 2nd place at the Archdiocese Championship!
Our girls' track and field team recently secured their 6th consecutive Regional title, an Area title, and a prestigious 2nd place finish at the Archdiocese Championship at historic Franklin Field. Individual standout athletes collectively earned 6 Golds, 5 Silvers, and 2 Bronze medals, cementing a historic season for our program.

The Girls' Team finished in 2nd place, only seven points behind Our Lady of Mt. Carmel — the third straight year finishing 2nd, 1st, or 2nd in the Archdiocese. The Boys' Team finished in a school-best 10th place. Five of the top 10 teams in the Archdiocese came from our Region — there's a lot of talent in Delco!

ARCHDIOCESAN CHAMPIONS
Distance Medley Relay
James Cavanaugh, Maeve McGoldrick, Margaret Gorman, and Quinn McGoldrick won the school's first-ever DMR Championship. James opened 10 seconds faster than at Areas, Maeve ran four seconds faster on her 400 leg, Margaret held off the field with her fastest 800 of the season, and Quinn took over with two laps to go, pulling away to win by 11 seconds. The team ran a 36-second PR to capture the title.
Novice Girls 1600
Cora Lesovitz patiently reeled in an early leader, took control by the third lap, and held on for the win!
Minor Girls 1600
Vivi Tornatela dominated from the front, winning by six seconds over the rest of the field.
Novice Boys High Jump
Jack Zeller battled through a tense miss at 4'2" before clearing it and going on to win SCJN's first-ever boys field event Archdiocesan Championship, eventually clearing 4'5".
Cadet Girls 4x100
Ella Moore, Abby Killeen, Elle Ratke, and Anna Duffy ran the only sub-54-second time in the field (53.96), dominating from start to finish for the gold medal.
Girls Open 4x400
In the final, electric race of the night at Franklin Field, Cora Lesovitz, Vivi Tornatela, Elle Ratke, and Lindsay Lythgoe came from behind to win SCJN's first-ever 4x400 gold medal. Lindsay held off Our Lady of Mt. Carmel's anchor in a shoulder-to-shoulder battle down the final straightaway to seal the victory.

Cadet Girls Shot Put
Ella Moore improved on each of her first two throws and led the competition until a huge final throw from Notre Dame/Our Lady of Peace edged her into silver.
Novice Girls High Jump
Maeve McGoldrick moved up seven spots from her seed, clearing 4'0" — her best of the season — for the silver medal.
Novice Girls 800
Cora Lesovitz battled Skylar Arnold of Our Mother of Consolation the whole way, finishing second for the silver medal.
Minor Girls 800
Vivi Tornatela ran with the leader for 600 meters before fading slightly in the final 200, still finishing well clear of the rest of the field for silver.
Cadet Boys 800
Quinn McGoldrick pushed an Archdiocesan-record performance the whole way, finishing second after running his fastest time of the season.

Novice Boys Shot Put
Ryan Sheaffer led the event for most of the day before late throws from Regina Angelorum and Gesu edged him down — but he held on for the bronze medal.
Cadet Girls 1600
Lindsay Lythgoe battled in a tight four-girl race and held on for the bronze medal.

Girls Open 4x800
Ella Robertson, Elise Deangelo, Ella Turner, and Genevieve Murray finished 6th, earning a point for the team and running over two seconds faster than at Areas.
Novice Boys 4x200
John Meenan, Michael Manning, Jason Lesovitz, and Lincoln Jones snuck in for a 6th-place medal — a great accomplishment considering half the relay was running track for the first time.
Cadet Boys High Jump
Quinn McGoldrick finished 5th, clearing 5'2" and earning two points for the team.
Novice Boys High Jump
Nick Garlepp moved up from a 19th seed all the way to 6th place, scoring a point for the boys.
Cadet Girls Triple Jump
Anna Duffy placed 6th in her first Archdiocesan Championship meet, scoring a point with a jump of well over 29 feet.
